Hi There,

Now that we’ve looked at how fiat money can be created endlessly — and how inflation reduces buying power — let’s explore the first major response to that problem:

💡 Bitcoin

Bitcoin was created in 2009 by someone (or a group) using the name Satoshi Nakamoto.

Its core purpose was simple:

Create a form of money that can’t be controlled, printed, or manipulated by governments or banks.

Here’s the key fact:

🧊 Bitcoin has a fixed maximum supply of 21 million coins.

No one can create more.

This creates digital scarcity — like gold, but programmable.

⛓️ Bitcoin runs on a blockchain

A public ledger where every transaction is recorded.
No single entity controls it.
Not a bank.
Not a government.
Not a corporation.

🧍‍♂️ Why some people trust Bitcoin:

  • It is transparent

  • It is decentralized

  • It is mathematically limited

  • It cannot be inflated

  • It can be transferred globally

  • No permission needed

  • No bank required

📉 While fiat loses value over time…

Bitcoin is designed to maintain or even increase value due to scarcity.

This doesn’t make Bitcoin risk-free — but it does explain why many people treat it as:

  • “digital gold”

  • a hedge against inflation

  • a store of value

  • a long-term asset

Bitcoin is not “get rich quick.”
It’s a long-term monetary experiment in limited-supply digital value.
